Original Sketches
Here are the orgiginal sketches of the Monolith in the final design stage. I went through various different looks and designs and I thought these ones were the best of them all. Finishing the math and the asthetic look of it I drew these two images two perfection. Both of different perspectives show off its looks in particular the first one gives off a more powerful look to the monolith while the second shows the full design more fully.

The Monolith: quick flyer design
Keeping in style with the billboard design, I designed the flyer to go along with it.
The colour scheme is relatively intact, though I reversed the colors of the logo and the background it is situated in. The white skyline is there to separate the header from the contents of the flyer, while the squiggly line divides the main body in two so I could place two different text elements without much interruption. The banner along the bottom with the website still remains.
This time, the flyer is done in a relatively high resolution, so I can scale it down to smaller sizes when necessary. I am just getting used to designing in high resolutions, and it’s bugging me how I can’t see all of it at once when I view it at its true size.
I don’t claim to be very good, but I would appreciate feedback, as the purpose of this blog is to improve our skills by putting our current skills in use.
Cheers,
arDong
A small experiment in billboard advertising
Reflecting the modern steel-and-glass look of the Monolith, I tried to go for a clean, professional look for the advertising. Drawing my inspiration from high-rise projects in the suburban area, I ended up with plain text on a white background, with minimal elements.
Tomorrow, I’ll be doing the alternate billboard design followed by the pamphlet design.

arDong
